Farm animals including chickens, pigs, goats, horses, or weasels are not allowed within city limits. Ordinance 13-3-6A. Leash Laws Dogs shall be leashed at all times they are off of their own property. Animal control officers enforce the leash laws defined in Ordinance 13-2-6A which mandates humane restraint for pets in all public areas.
Animal Licensing. All dogs that are living in South Ogden City need to be licensed. It is a yearly license. Licenses are purchased from the South Ogden Police Department located at 3950 S Adams Ave before March 1st to avoid a late fee. When you come in to purchase a South Ogden Dog License, please bring the current rabies vaccination certificate and proof of sterilization (spay or neuter certificate) to the South Ogden Police Department .
